As a German artist whose roots trace back through several generations of artists to a renowned artist family in Berlin, Vanessa Lenz’ work is deeply rooted in tradition yet entirely contemporary.

Guided by intuition, her recent paintings focus on emotions expressed through the harmonious interplay of colors. Through a process of slow layering, pigment is applied, interrupted, covered, and then uncovered again.
